Learn how to perform implant dentistry through 8 webinar sessions and 4 in-person modules. In addition to detailed lectures, you will put your skills into practice with live patient treatment for up to 6 clinical cases. The course follows a staged learning approach, including model-based, pig jaw, and cadaver head hands-on practical exercises. It also covers comprehensive implant treatment planning for both fixed and removable prosthetics.

Module 1: Surgical Principles & Fundamentals of Implant Planning (3 Days)

Surgical:

  • Patient Selection: Medical and Dental Considerations

  • Flap Design and Suturing Techniques
  • Local Anesthesia, Pharmacology, and Management of Medical Emergencies

Module 2: Bone Grafting, Atraumatic Extraction & Enhancing Healing with PRF (3 Days)

  • Principles of Atraumatic Extraction and Socket Preservation
  • Instruments and Techniques for Minimizing Trauma
  • Bone Grafting Techniques and Material Selection
  • PRF: Biological Principles and Clinical Applications
  • Sticky Bone: Integration of PRF and Bone Graft for Enhanced Stability
  • Postoperative Healing and Patient Management

  2. Socket Grafting and Ridge Augmentation

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Dr. Mark Lin

B.Sc., D.D.S., M.Sc. (Prosthodontics), F.R.C.D.(C)
Founder & Director of T.I.D.E.
Dr. Mark H.E. Lin, a distinguished prosthodontist, earned his B.Sc., D.D.S., and M.Sc. in prosthodontics from the University of Toronto. He is a former assistant professor at the University of Toronto and a recognized fellow and examiner with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in prosthodontics. 

Dr. Lin specializes in full mouth reconstructions, dental implant surgery, and implant prosthetics. He maintains a full-time specialty practice and mentors dentists in live-patient procedures.

Dr. Nesrine Mostafa

B.D.S, M.Sc, Dip. Pros, PhD, F.R.C.D.(C)
Board-certified Prosthodontist and former Associate Professor at UBC, with degrees from Alexandria University, the University of Alberta, and UBC. She initially practiced general dentistry before earning a Diploma in Prosthodontics. Additionally, she completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Medical Sciences – Dentistry) in 2013.

Her dedication to education is reflected in her roles as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Alberta and Associate Professor at UBC, as well as her leadership in study clubs focused on multidisciplinary treatment planning and implants. She brings a wealth of clinical and research experience to the dental community.
