Learn how to perform implant dentistry through 8 live webinars and 4 in-person modules. In addition to detailed lectures, put your skills into practice with live patient treatment for up to 4 clinical cases.

The course follows a staged learning approach, including model-based, pig jaw, and cadaver head hands-on practical exercises. It also covers comprehensive implant treatment planning for both fixed and removable prosthetics.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Dr. Mark Lin

B.Sc., D.D.S., M.Sc. (Prosthodontics), F.R.C.D.(C)
Course Director
Dr. Mark H.E. Lin, a distinguished prosthodontist, earned his B.Sc., D.D.S., and M.Sc. in prosthodontics from the University of Toronto. He is a former assistant professor at the University of Toronto and a recognized fellow and examiner with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in prosthodontics. 

Dr. Lin specializes in full mouth reconstructions, dental implant surgery, and implant prosthetics. He maintains a full-time specialty practice and mentors dentists in live-patient procedures.

Dr. Bo Huang

Prosthodontist
Dr. Bo Huang is currently an assistant professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. She had been a practicing dentist in China after earning her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (D.M.D) degree at the Air Force Medicine University (formerly known as the Fourth Military Medicine University) in Xian and her Master of Science degree at Peking University in Beijing, China. After immigrating to Canada, Dr. Huang completed her PhD in biomaterials at the Faculty of Dentistry and Institute of Biomedical Engineering, University of Toronto.

Upon completion of dentistry and material science degrees, Dr. Huang pursued her passion for dentistry by completing a 3-year Prosthodontics program at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. As a board-certified prosthodontist in Canada, her scope of practice includes restoring oral function and esthetics by removable or/and fixed prostheses, replacing missing teeth by implant dentistry with both surgical and prosthetic approaches and managing various implant complications.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Huang has been a recipient of various awards, scholarships and research grants, including Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarships in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST), Ontario Graduate Scholarship, Acta Student Award, Nobel Biocare Research Fellowship in Prosthodontics and Dentsply Sirona Research Fellowship in Prosthodontics. Dr. Huang holds membership at the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Ontario Dental Association, International Association for Dental Research, and the American College of Prosthodontists.

Dr. Jae W. Chang

D.D.S, M.Sc. Cert. Perio. Dip. ABP. DICOI. F.R.C.D. (C)
Periodontist
Dr. Jae W. Chang is a nationally recognized periodontist and implantologist known for his advanced training, research excellence, and commitment to clinical education. With over two decades of experience in Ontario, he blends restorative, surgical, and evidence-based expertise to elevate patient care and guide the next generation of clinicians.

Dr. Chang’s academic journey includes implantology training with Dr. George Zarb, an MSc in Oral Implantology from JW Goethe University in Germany, and specialty training in Periodontics at the University of British Columbia, where he earned consecutive teaching awards. His research in implant stability and peri-implant disease has been showcased at major international congresses, including the ITI and the American Academy of Periodontology.

A Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of both the American Board of Periodontology and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Dr. Chang also directs the Toronto ITI Study Club and teaches at UBC and the University of Toronto. He practices in Etobicoke and is widely regarded for his engaging teaching style, clinical precision, and passion for advancing implant dentistry.

Dr. Stephen Ing

B.Sc., D.D.S., M.Sc.
Dental Anesthesia
Dr. Stephen Ing graduated in 1999 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. In 2008, he completed his three year postgraduate training in dental anesthesia at the University of Toronto. This program is unique in that it is the only one of its kind in Canada that provides focused training in sedation and general anesthesia for dental treatment. In fact, Dr. Ing is one of only a small group of dentists in Canada who have received training in both dentistry and anesthesiology. He is a diploma of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and a certified specialist in dental anesthesia registered with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
