This advanced course is ideal for experienced implant dentists seeking to expand their surgical skill set in managing challenging hard-tissue deficiencies. The focus of this course is to optimize the hard tissue architecture in quantity and quality of bone, for predictable surgical implant placement and final implant restoration. Various surgical grafting protocols are reviewed in detail for the indications, guidelines, case selection criteria, step-by-step protocol and prevention with management of complications.     

This course is designed for experienced dentists in the field of implantology. Take this course if you have already placed a minimum of 50 implants.

  • Rationale for fundamental biologic wound healing principles for predictable hard tissue grafting
  • Top 10 Vital Rules for bone grafting to enhance predictable success rates
  • Pre-surgical diagnostic requirements and indications for CBCT scans for treatment planning and selection of grafting protocol  
  • Anatomic review of vital zones as it relates to the various Autogenous bone grafting procedures from donor and recipient sites
  • Rationale for selection of Allografts, Xeno- grafts and Alloplastic materials
  • Indications and surgical protocol for Horizontal ridge expansion (Bone dilator kits, specialize ridge splitting kits, chisel and mallet splitting protocol)
  • Indications and surgical protocol for guided bone regeneration
  • Indications and surgical protocol for autogenous ramus and symphysis block grafting  
  • Indications and surgical protocol for titanium mesh, non-resorbable membranes and vertical bone grafting

Dr. Mark Lin

B.Sc., D.D.S., M.Sc. (Prosthodontics), F.R.C.D.(C)
Founder & Director of T.I.D.E.
Dr. Mark H.E. Lin, a distinguished prosthodontist, earned his B.Sc., D.D.S., and M.Sc. in prosthodontics from the University of Toronto. He is a former assistant professor at the University of Toronto and a recognized fellow and examiner with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in prosthodontics. 

Dr. Lin specializes in full mouth reconstructions, dental implant surgery, and implant prosthetics. He maintains a full-time specialty practice and mentors dentists in live-patient procedures.
